Thailand is an exotic land with several opportunities to relax and really enjoy life. And if you choose the right place to stay you can both save money and have an extra good time.
Relax Bay, Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is my personal favourite island of Thailand. You can find this lovely island just south of Krabi Town. It’s famed for its nearby diving sites and long beaches.
Just the name indicates that the resort is really calming and has a restful atmosphere. It’s owned by french people so you can also enjoy the great cuisine of France.
Nimmanoradee Resort, Koh Samet
The Samet island, off Thailands east coast is just a four-hour drive from Bangkok. The place is infamous as a huge party island. But there is more to the island, the beaches are great with powder-white sand. Further down the island, the quieter it becomes until you reach the Nimmanoradee Resort. Clapboard huts are scattered on rocky outcrops and amid trees. Everybody here gets sea view and a private beach.
Sun Beach Guesthouse, Prachuap Khiri Khan
If you go six hours south of Bangkok down the Gulf of Thailand coast, there is a friendly fishing town called Prachuap Khiri Khan. It has not yet become a target for mainstream tourists so there’s a chance of getting a glimpse of the real Thai charm. The top place is the nearby beach Ao Manao. The friendly Sun Beach Guesthouse on the Prachuap seafront is a great place to stay. Here you will get a pool, wonderful sunrises and sea-facing balconies.
